Building Upward
I've been collecting old barn wood and creating these figures. There's nothing better than aged wood. The textures and colors are so natural. Unfortunatley I painted these, but now that I see them again it may be time to make some new ones and leave them in their raw state.
Stone Pile
Stacking stones is one of my favorite mediums. I enjoy the labor involved, and working in a natural setting. I try and center each stone making the pile one balanced unit. It could easily be pushed over, but the goal is for it not to be affected by weather. This one has been standing for a year now.

Sundays at Tony's
Most Sunday's I'll head over to Tony Ballatore's studio. Usually we'll have some spirits, share ideas, and have a work session either painting or building a sculpture out of some wood scraps. Milford, PA Studio
I've been working at this studio for a year now, and as time passes the more at home I feel. It's an old blacksmith shop with a working mill across the street. It was built in the late 1790's and the oldtime spirit is alive. Milford is a great little town on the Delaware. Offering both nature and the convenience for a quick trip down to NYC. My studio is open to the public Thursday through Sunday and I plan to have monthly openings this spring/summer.
Outdoor Studio
Keaton and I moved into a small cabin in Westbrookeville, NY. Even though I have the studio in Milford I really wanted to set up a place to work at home. Three 2x4's and a sheet of ply wood and I was in business. I set this up a few hundred yards from the cabin. Just far enough where I feel I 'm in the middle of the woods. I don't use it enough, but when I do good things happen.
